NLP Presupposition : There is no such thing as failure – only feedback.

NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), which is the study of excellence, is based on several presuppositions, which lead to success and happiness. The NLP presuppositions represent signposts on the journey to success, making them worthy of noting… and utilising!

The NLP presupposition “There is no such thing as failure, only feedback” is one of the most fundamental presuppositions, in my opinion as it guarantees success!

WHAT DOES IT ALL ACTUALLY MEAN?

There is no such thing as failure, only experience that helps us stay on the path to success. As long as we recognize and accept that there is no such thing as failure, only lessons to be learned – or feedback - we will continue on our journey toward our successful goals. NLP acknowledges that there is a distinction between what you observe and how you process or think about what you observe.

All information that comes to us can be utilized - either successfully or in a destructive manner. There is always and outcome – even if it is not the one you were looking for, it is still an outcome – and feedback. The way you choose to interpret that outcome will ultimately determine your success. If you believe in failure, then it is also highly possible that you also believe in giving up, throwing the towel in and even and disregarding your dreams.

The message in this NLP presupposition is – don’t let apparent failures get on top of you…. rather learn from them – that is far more useful and successful. Life and experience provides opportunities for you to gain wisdom. Only when you label and or judge personal experience— as opposed to understand the learnings behind the outcome —that you negate the opportunity to learn. Feedback enables you to adjust your behavior in the direction of success. The experience only becomes a failure when to take a decision to give up.

TO SUM IT ALL UP!

Every response or outcome is useful. Even if you may detest the response, the knowledge and feedback you gain from it is valuable. The ultimate objective of NLP (neuron linguistic programming) is to assist you to change your mind about what is possible for you. NLP is the psychology of excellence and the technology of success and accomplishment.

WORD OF (NLP) WISDOM

“I have not failed 700 times. I have not failed once. I have succeeded in proving those 700 ways will not work. When I have eliminated the ways that will not work, I will find the way that will work” – Thomas Edison
